#### Arrival in Windhoek
My journey began in Windhoek, the capital city. Nestled among rolling hills, this city blends African zest with old German architecture—an enduring legacy of Namibia’s colonial history. I spent my first day exploring the Alte Feste museum and the bustling streets lined with cafes and markets. The friendly locals made me feel instantly at home with their warm greetings.
#### Safari in Etosha National Park
The next leg of my journey took me north to Etosha National Park—one of Africa’s finest havens for wildlife viewing. This vast salt pan visible even from space transforms into a lush oasis during the rainy season. Here, I embarked on several guided safari drives that revealed the park’s diverse ecosystem.
Each safari was an episode of its own: elephants gracefully parading by the waterholes, lions lounging under thorny acacias after a feast, and a rare sight of black rhinos that sent whispers of excitement across our vehicle. Hot air ballooning over this majestic landscape provided a different perspective—a silent drift over endless dunes followed by a champagne breakfast upon landing made it all feel like an opulent dream.

Yearning for some sea breeze after days in the desert heat, I traveled west towards Swakopmund—a charming coastal town where German influence is palpable in its architecture and cuisine. Swakopmund proved to be more than just a scenic stop; it was an adventure hub complete with skydiving over desert meets ocean scenery and quad biking through expansive sand dunes.
The Atlantic Ocean offered refreshing dips although chilly! More leisurely pursuits included dining on fresh seafood along the waterfront promenade or simply enjoying long walks on the beach at sunset.

A short drive south took me to Walvis Bay home to flocks of flamingos and pelicans thriving among its shallow waters. A boat tour around the bay was delightful as dolphins rode alongside us playfully while seals basked lazily on buoys.
